My Journey To Becoming A Lifestyle Blogger

It all started during the recovery phase after having surgery to remove a brain tumor in October 2018. I decided I wanted to use blogging as a way to creatively express myself, but I also wanted to use it as a platform to document and share my life experiences, talk about the things I’m passionate about, and open up about my incredibly different and challenging journey after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. My hope is that whether you leave here with a good travel tip, a new skincare regime, or a piece of helpful medical information after reading about my healthcare experiences, that you leave with something that is going to help you or someone you know in your own life. Podcasts

Two Hot Takes - Morgan Absher along with her team of co-hosts give their take on everything from hot topics, relationships, life situations, and more through listener write-ins and by searching through Reddit. I love listening to this podcast and getting other’s opinions on a variety of situations.

Give Them Lala - I have been a longstanding fan of Vanderpump Rules and now Lala Kent has her own podcast where she covers a wide variety of hot topics and shares her own personal stories along with interviewing a crew of guests with her co-host Jess.

You can listen to these wherever you listen to podcasts now!

Books

Get Your Sh*t Together: How To Stop Worrying About What You Should Do So You Can Finish What You Need To Do And Start Doing What You Want To Do - A No F*cks Given Guide - The title of this book really says it all. It’s a guide for all of you out there like me who maybe over analyze every single thing in your life, over think, or make excuses as to why you can’t or won’t be able to do what it is you really want to. It’s a journal and a book all in one, so you can really get your sh*t together.

The Enemy - For all the hopeless romantics out there, this is your book. I am a sucker for a good romantic comedy and this one checks all the boxes. So if you are single, if you’ve been heart broke, if you pour your life into your work, and if you have someone that you love to hate and hate to love, then this book is probably for you.

Both can be found online or at a Books A Million store near you!

Products

Dionis Peppermint Twist Goat Milk Lip Balm - This has been my go-to for a few years now. It glides on smooth, is super hydrating, and actually lasts where sometimes I feel that beeswax based balms dry up quick on my lips. It’s super affordable, and larger than most balms so you get good lip coverage. Super inexpensive & can be found at Ulta Beauty!

ZzzQuil Night Pain - ZzzQuil has always been a go-to option for me when Melatonin or my other sleep tricks just aren’t working. Most of my sleep issues mainly revolve around neck pain and discomfort from tight muscles due to the multiple brain surgeries. However, this stuff has worked great for those nights where I really just need some good rest and all my other remedies do not work. I also do not feel groggy in the morning when I wake-up. This version contains the nighttime sleep aid to help you sleep, plus maximum strength acetaminophen for pain. Can be found at any local drugstore.
